Wise Guyz — Pizza
Brandon, FL just outside of Tampa.
Pretty good pizza. Decent pricing. Definitely better than any chain pizza place. Worth a stop if your. in the area. We had the 28″ pizza, serves 4+ hungry young athletes/men. $28. I was concerned a. pizza this big would not be good, but it actually was. Located in a. strip mall next door to the AMC theater. White pizza was good.

Marylands Fried Chicken—
Plant City, off of I-4, north and east of Tampa. Very good fried chicken filets sandwiches. People swear by the sides, but we haven’t tried them. Not all the chicken items are their fresh cut and battered filets, so be sure to confirm before ordering. Don’t want to go out of your way for run of the mill frozen. Good prices, nice people.

Arcos Rio–Cuban, authentic
3328 W Columbus DrD, West Tampa near Ybor City.
Small and easy to miss. Good food. So far we’ve had the ropa vieja, baca fritas, pan con bistec, and pan con bistec empansitas, breaded chicken sandwich (not so authentic). All in the $5-$8 range. Skip the sodas–Sodas & juices come in a can or bottle. Order the coffee–Good cafe con leche or espresso Cubano. Haven’t tried the desserts. Yet.

Memas Alaskan Tacos—
Ybor City
OK. Could stand to skip this one. The order taker was edgy and annoyed, the food was OK, but for the price, we could’ve eaten elsewhere. The green salsa and chips were very good.

La Teresita–Cuban
West Tampa–
Skip this one. The food was OK, not outstanding. We had an uncomfortable argument with the servers over some confusion with our order. Really a silly thing for them to be arguing about, and it ruined the whole experience. Cuban espresso was good. Arcos Rio is just down the street, go there instead.
