…Through the virtue of training, Enlighten both body and soul — Morihei Sensei

About Old 454 Blog.

My primary focus is integrating the seemingly disparate facets of my life & interests into a coherent whole (system may be a bit of an overstatement).  The hypothesis is that if I find myself inherently attracted to these apparently unrelated interests and activities, then there is likely some thread of commonality.  Additionally, operating on the assumption that this is a Spiritual existence, Spirit would seem to be the most important focus.

My personal proclivity is towards action.  The Spiritual Warrior embodies this intersection of refinement, discipline, pragmatism, mysticism, and action.  Hence, my trajectory is towards the Warrior and attaining Freedom.

Hopefully, you will find some insight in these matters within my posts.

I am the author of Conversations with a Mystic.

I am wondering if you would consider doing a guest article for my site.

I have done several of these types of articles, to enhance the education of my readers:

A Visit with a Conservative Buddhist
    A Visit with a Sufi
    A Visit with a Hedgewitch

I would like to highlight your form of Mysticism, with return links to your site.

Please let me know if this would interest you.

  4. Hello, I feel rather silly leaving this comment, but I simply feel so badly that I didn’t see a comment you left on my blog (Trust Life Today) in response to an article entitled, “Heart Action, Spirit No-Action”. I’m not sure if it was because the article was Stumbled or because I guest blogged on someone’s site, but anyway I wanted to apologize.

I’m sure you haven’t lost sleep over it. 🙂 It’s just a ME thing – i like to respond to all comments.

    Take care,

    • No apologies necessary. I left a note at your post. I’m not sure how I “stumbled” across that post. May have keyword searched ‘mystic’ or something. Anyhow, thanks for tracking me down. I do like the multi-layered lessons in Sufi stories, as well the time delay in how those lessons surface in your (my) mind.

  5. I discovered your blog recently and really enjoy it. I am giving you The Liebster Blog Award. Please follow this link to my page to see the rules.

    • Thank you for the award sir! The virtues of a virtually unknown blogger slogging away in anonymity 🙂 Now, I’ll need to give the next recipients some serious consideration.

  6. Thank you for stopping my art blog. It would seem that the ranks of the spirit seekers is ever growing larger. More company from the mystic realm is always appreciated.
